Attaching photos to an enquiry is optional. We only use them to understand the job and prepare your quote. Before they are uploaded, your browser resizes each photo and removes its embedded metadata, including any location (GPS) data your phone may have recorded. Please avoid including people, documents, or anything else personal in your photos.

In addition to the personal information you provide, we may automatically collect certain information when you visit our website. This may include:

We use the following third-party service providers, each of whom processes personal information on our behalf only to perform the specific task listed and is obligated to keep it confidential:

• Mailgun — sends the emails generated by our enquiry form (processes your name, phone number, email address, postcode, message, and any photos you attach).

• Google (Gmail) — our business inbox, where your enquiry and any photos you attach are delivered and kept.

• Google Analytics — website analytics. It only stores anything on your device once you have accepted cookies via our cookie banner; see section 6 below. Our Google Analytics property is linked to our Google Ads account with personalised advertising enabled, so the information it collects may also be used by Google to measure and personalise the adverts we run. Separately, when you send an enquiry, our server records that a submission happened in Google Analytics so that we can count how many enquiries the website produces. This happens on our server rather than in your browser: it sets no cookies, reads nothing from your device, and includes none of the details you entered — only the service and job types you selected.

• Google Ads — measures which of our adverts lead to enquiries. When you arrive from one of our adverts, Google adds a click identifier (gclid) to the web address you land on. If you have accepted cookies, this is used to record that your enquiry came from that advert.

• Sentry — error monitoring for our website and server, used under our legitimate interest in keeping the site running correctly. This runs regardless of cookie consent, in the same way as strictly necessary website functionality.

• Google reCAPTCHA — protects our enquiry form from automated/bot submissions.

Some of these providers, including Google and Mailgun, are based outside the UK or process data on servers outside it. Where your personal information is transferred outside the UK, it is protected by the safeguards those providers have in place for international transfers, such as the UK Addendum to the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

We may also disclose your personal information if required by law, if we believe in good faith that doing so is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect our rights, or investigate a potential violation, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of some or all of our assets.

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies, namely Google Analytics and Google Ads, to collect information about your interactions with our website. This helps us analyze trends, administer the website, track users' movements, gather demographic information, and understand which of our adverts bring people to us.

Our Google tag loads on every visit, but until you accept cookies via the banner shown when you first visit our website it runs in a restricted mode: it sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and your data is not used for advertising or personalisation. Accepting the banner switches on analytics and advertising storage. Declining or dismissing it leaves both switched off. You can withdraw your consent at any time by clearing your browser's local storage/cookies for our site, which will show the banner again on your next visit.

Declining cookies stops all of the above in your browser. It does not stop us counting that an enquiry was made: when you submit the enquiry form, our server records the submission in Google Analytics so we know how many enquiries the website produces. No cookies are involved, nothing is read from or stored on your device, and the record contains none of the information you entered.

You can also adjust your browser settings to refuse cookies or notify you when a cookie is being sent. Some features of our website may not function properly without cookies.

Enquiry form submissions are logged on our servers and automatically deleted after 30 days. Emails sent via our enquiry form are additionally retained in our email provider's (Mailgun's) sent-mail history for as long as their own account settings retain it, which is outside of our direct control.

Photos you attach are never saved on our website's servers or written to our enquiry logs — they are passed straight to Mailgun and delivered to our business inbox as email attachments.

Your enquiry, including any photos, is kept in our business inbox (Gmail). If you don't go ahead with a job, it is automatically deleted 12 months after the last message in that enquiry, and Gmail then permanently removes it within a further 30 days. If you become a customer, we keep your enquiry with your job records for as long as we need it to carry out the work and deal with any follow-up or guarantee.

You have certain rights regarding your personal information. These rights include:

• The right to access your personal information and receive a copy of it

• The right to rectify any inaccurate or incomplete personal information we hold about you

• The right to erase your personal information under certain circumstances

• The right to restrict the processing of your personal information
